8 bit Atari AV Cables: EH0102/3 $16/$20
More Details:
This cable uses a standard phono plug for audio and provides an s-video plug.
Push the phono cables in with a slight twist. Remove with a slight twist as well. Use care to hold the s-video cable the right way, usually with the flat side up.
The 8 bit monitor plug inserts into the jack (on the right side or center back) with the 5 pins at the bottom.
This video output will provide a superior picture over using the RF jack on the 8 bit console.
Note that some 8 bit models do not have monitor jacks. And some with the jacks do not have the chroma line connected. These cables are wired to jumper composite video to chroma, providing a signal suitable for s-video, although of lower quality than using an actual chroma signal, useable on any Atari 8 bit computer.
Also, this cable will NOT provide RGB or VGA signals. These signals are not present on the 8 bit jacks.
