130XE memory upgrade, TYPE 2, 320K Total PCB: EP0040 $ 10.00 KIT-EZ:EK0040 $20.00 Assembled:EU0040 $30.00 (wt.:1 oz - 2.2 oz) (RixCAT) NEW Sep 01, 2007--------------ADVERT |

This is a memory upgrade for the rarer 130XE that uses 4 64K X 4 bit Dram chips. 2 chips are for main memory, 2 are used for memory banking. By replacing these two with 256K X 4 bit chips and adding a little extra circuitry, you can have 256K for a ramdisk. Buy the pcb, get the parts yourself. Or, get the kit and save. The assembled version requires removing two dram chips on the main board, installing sockets, and soldering 4 wires. Thanks to Larry W. for lending me his 130XE, to Windhover for the original 130XE upgrade(1985), and Bob Wooley for the ram refresh circuit from his 1 meg simm upgrade. |
