Welcome to BJL.
I did not design any of this. I just make it available for others, passing on lessons learned as well. Overall, it works quite well.

The revised CD of needed stuff...HERE(2.5 meg).
And a seperate extras files of sources...HERE.(2 meg)
I have used 2 PCs to send files to the Jaguar via BJL:
My Winbook Notebook:
Bios has printer port as ECP/EPP.
Runs lo.exe just fine using lo filename.jag, but this defaults to 4 bit mode.
For faster loading...use lo -n -8 filename.jag. I press "A" on the jag controller to put it into 8 bit mode to make the transfer work as automatic does not detect this.
cwsdpmi.exe in the same folder as lo.exe. Its needed when running from DOS(I get an error if not found).
Windows:
Runs windows 98.
Most apps load/run fine from the windows 98 msdos box.
Bios has printer port as ECP/EPP. Windows has it as ECP only. Some may need to set it to ECP/EPP.
Some things do not work from msdos box. Possibly cwsdpmi.exe or windows changing the printer port config.
Desktop:
Runs windows 98.
I can get most jag programs to run fine from the msdox box or DOS if I change the printer driver(to ECP/EPP?) but I lose com2 which I need for printers I use(I gain com3 and lpt2). Then I have to delete them and reinstall them again to get com2 back. Its much easier to boot directly to DOS on the desktop also.
I can't get NATIVE demo to run when loaded from the windows 98 msdos box. Runs fine when loaded from dos.
What is DPMI? DPMI (DOS Protected Mode Interface) is a program interface that allows an application program running under the DOS to do so in protected mode and access more than 640K of memory.
If you have problems or lockups: If using a cartridge loader, clean the cart contacts, use can air to clean the socket. If using a rom in socket, reseat the chip.
Note that running BJL isn't perfect. Seems that sometimes I have to do a cold boot to DOS before I can get it working. On the laptop I could leave the driver that works installed, didn't matter. I do have lo-win-jul06-a.zip that says it works on 98/me/xp. I haven't tried it yet.
I have left demoes running for hours just fine.
So, I just boot to DOS to run lo.exe. I probably won't spend time figuring out windows and printer drivers.
Jag programs I have for BJL:
Duranik native(21 seconds),
surround,
boing,
colors,
teamtap,
jagmarble,
e2prombr,
memdmp11,
atomic,
mypainter,
ukjfdemo,
dothesame
.
Frontier does not work on my Jag...I just get striped shadow images moving around.
Atomic is a really great game I just found....Here.(1/3rd way down..atomic reloaded..637K...2009-07-04, rename to .jag to be consistant)
